About me
My name is Emma and I survived EMT program… you can too!
EMTStudyNotes was born during my journey through EMT program. I struggled a lot at the beginning and started creating my own study notes to help me stay afloat. These notes not only helped me, but have since supported thousands of EMT students in making program just a little more manageable.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, know this, you're not alone. EMT program is mentally and emotionally demanding. I truly hope these clean, clear, and structured guides help you stay organised and confident as you work through all the information, because trust me, there’s a LOT of it!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions, need guidance, or just want to talk to someone who’s been through it. The struggle is part of the growth. We’re training to be first responders, to stay calm under pressure, and to be there when every second counts, and that’s incredibly meaningful.

I've been in your shoes
EMT programs can feel lonely.
It’s not something that’s talked about a lot, but it should be. In those moments of uncertainty and doubt, when you're by yourself and overwhelmed with material, it can feel isolating.
I remember studying in my room during the early weeks of my EMT program thinking,
“Do other people feel as overwhelmed as I do?”
and
“Maybe I’m not tough enough for this.”
If I can offer you any encouragement, it’s this:
You are NOT alone!
Every single EMT student has felt this way at some point, and you’re stronger than you think.

The Challenge Makes You Stronger
It’s not an easy thing.
In fact, it may be the most challenging thing you will ever face in your life. Now, looking back from the outside, I realize how much I grew in those alone moments.
I grew in my maturity, my critical thinking skills, my empathy for patients, my time management, and so much more.
Next time you feel those growing pains of EMT program, know that you are growing, and being molded into the EMT you’ve always wanted to become.
You got this, future EMT!
